Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Scomp ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scomp is a terminal relay service that allows you to access PTY sessions running on your own machines from a browser, supported app, or an explicitly authorized local MCP client. MCP access controls existing user-created tmux or Screen sessions; it is interactive terminal delivery, not a guarantee that a command ran, completed, or returned a particular exit status. Client connections use transport encryption, but the relay processes terminal content in readable form and the service is not end-to-end encrypted. By default Scomp does not retain session content. Session recording is an optional feature you may turn on per account or per machine — when enabled, terminal output is stored for your own access until you delete it (see the Privacy Policy).

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to: (a) transmit unauthorized access credentials or malware; (b) attempt to disrupt or overload the relay infrastructure; (c) circumvent access controls on systems you are not authorized to access; (d) authorize an MCP client for hosts or terminal activity you are not permitted to control; (e) enable session recording on machines or sessions you are not authorized to record, or capture other people's activity without their consent.

4. Account and Authentication

Hosted account access requires Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and local MCP credentials, reviewing requested hosts and scopes before approval, revoking clients you no longer control, and for activity performed under those credentials. MCP credentials expire, are independently revocable, and can authorize remote terminal input when you grant write scope.

5. Availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Scomp name, logo, and relay software are owned by Scomp. The open-source agent binary is licensed separately — see its repository for terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCOMP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
